Blessing of the Animals

Once a year all the Therapet members gather at the Therapet cemetery to honor the animals that  provide thousands of hours of work in our communities. It is also a time to remember those animals and volunteers we have lost throughout the 15 years of service in East Texas.  The 30 minute ceremony takes place in the Joe Lynn Woolery arbor and then a brunch is provided at Pads N Paws training located next to the  cemetery.

The Gate

Just a note to let you know how I'm doing since we had to part.  To let you know I'm doing fine and that you still hold my heart. There are beautiful lakes to swim in and I can stay 'til late, but many times I excuse myself to go and check the gate.

Now angels do play fetch and I bring it back, then wait. Yet after several throws I leave to go and check the gate. And I can eat all the cookies I want but after I ate, I saved one to bring to you for you might be at the gate.

So when among all your loved ones that meet you at the gate, take the time to look for me, for it's there that I will wait. And even though there's belly scratches and you know I think that's great, Heaven won't be heaven 'til I see you at the gate.Poem By Judy Gregg
